Idea 1

What product will you make? (Detail all aspects of the product, all the work that will need to go into making the product)

I plan to make a top down stealth game in the pixel art graphical style.

What type of game will this product be for? (Put the names of some existing games that your game would be similar to?)

Games similar to my plan would be that of Metal Gear solid 1, Metal Gear solid 2, and Disjunction.

What will the game setting be? What will you need to consider with regards to this setting?

The game will be based in a modern day setting, the technology used by the player and enemies will need to reflect this.

What research will you need to do in order to complete this project?

I will need to research games from the same genre, as well as elements from the setting to make the game world feel correct.

What planning will you need to do in order to complete this project?

I will need to plan out different gameplay elements as well as graphical styles that would fit the theme of my proposed game.

What difficulties do you think you might have with this project?

I believe I may have issues with the lighting effect I may include, but that remains to be seen.

Idea 2

I could make a top down game about destruction and damage to the surrounding area.

What type of game will this product be for? (Put the names of some existing games that your game would be similar to?)

The game would be incredibly similar to the early Grand Theft Auto games, featuring a very similar style of gameplay.

What will the game setting be? What will you need to consider with regards to this setting?

The setting would be a modern day city.

What research will you need to do in order to complete this project?

I will need to research early GTA games, as well as games of a similar style. I will also research city layouts to get a good grasp of the setting

What planning will you need to do in order to complete this project?

I will need to plan out a city layout that features destructible elements, as well as areas to walk and drive around seamlessly

What difficulties do you think you might have with this project?

I believe I could have issues with the implementation of destructible elements, as well as the relatively large proposed map size.

Concept

Reflection –

While presenting, I felt a bit awkward due to my proximity to the camera, as I didn’t fully know if I was too close, or if I was even in frame. I felt like the proposal itself went relatively well, I got all my points across by the end of it but I would have rather done it without stammering as much. Overall I believe I can improve a lot in regards to my speaking ability, but this presentation got the message across in the correct way.
